From its humble beginnings as newspaperman Arch Ward's brainchild for the 1933 Chicago World's Fair, the MLB All-Star Game has thrilled and dazzled countless baseball fans—and inspired all other sports to showcase their own cavalcade-of-stars events. Babe's inaugural All-Star HR, Hubbell's 5 straight HOFer strikeouts, Williams' and Musial's walk-offs, Jackson's mammoth blast, Lynn's grand slam—these and so many other timeless moments have defined the venerable "Midsummer Classic" for over 80 years.

In our hobby, from a collecting standpoint, the All-Star Game has been defined above all by its popular tickets and programs. Thus, it is with pride that Huggins & Scott presents what is, to our knowledge, the largest, most complete run of All-Star tickets and programs ever to reach the auction block. Naturally, there is tremendous breakdown value here, but there is also the unique opportunity for an enterprising bidder to amass in one fell swoop the kind of ambitious collecting quest that would otherwise take considerable blood, sweat and tears to acquire individually—ticket by ticket, program by program. To the victor go the spoils!

Headlined by such desirable examples as 1933, 1934, 1936, 1942 and 1949, this master set through 2013 features unscored copies unless otherwise noted and displays at a higher level than its strictly assessed technical grades.
