Description

Primed to force a decisive Game 7 in the 1998 NBA Finals, the Utah Jazz had only to contend with Michael Jordan. That, of course, was more than anyone could handle. After stealing the ball from Karl Malone (he of the lengthy Hall of Fame career without a championship ring), Jordan drove the floor and nailed a 20-foot jumper with 5.2 seconds left to give the Bulls an 87-86 triumph and their second “three-peat” in eight seasons. Paying homage to what was deemed Jordan’s “Last Shot,” artist Peter Max composed this lithograph, which has been signed by Jordan. The 25-1/2 x 32-3/4” limited edition (CXIX/CXXIII) print portrays Jordan, mouth agape, putting up the decisive shot in his Bulls Road attire. Max employed all parts of his palette on this one! Gorgeous bright colors and a remarque outline highlight the background, and Jordan has endorsed the piece in black marker (“10” strength). Max has signed, as well. Comes with a UDA hologram. This item has a reserve (estimated value: $1200-$2000)
